Three immobilization protocols were investigated for direct electron characteristics of laccase at 3D-hierarchical carbon nanotubes composite materials (3D-CNT/CMF). Electrochemical comparison between randomly adsorbed laccase molecules and those possessing site-directed covalent binding to the support are presented. The high current densities measured are suggesting an excellent compatibility of biocomponent and supporting electrode, leading to a high loading and optimum orientation of laccase onto 3D-CNT/CMF for efficient electron communication between them.
